No matter how much of the Earth you’ve seen, you can always find something that takes your breath away. Whether it’s a cave inhabited by luminescent bacteria or the Aurora Borealis or the amazing phenomena of underwater rivers. Add to the list, the Hallerbos or the Halle Forest in Belgium.
In early spring and summer the forest comes to life as if in a fairy tale. The lush bluebells that crowd the forest floor bloom and blue and violet fill the ground.
Early spring blooms attract photographers that are able to capture the forest in fog or mist that make the scenery even more mythical in appearance.
The density of the bluebells on the ground also gives us some idea of the age of the forest (300-400 years).
